Ferrari is preparing the 296 Challenge Stradale, scheduled for launch in November 2026. This road-legal version of the 296 Challenge has already begun on-road testing in Maranello, Italy. The test prototype features a new aerodynamic package, a more aggressive front-end design, and a prominent rear spoiler. Powertrain-wise, the car is expected to ditch its hybrid system entirely, relying solely on a V6 engine with an estimated output of 720 horsepower. By comparison, the current 296 Speciale combines a V6 engine with a 7.45 kWh battery in a hybrid setup, delivering a total system output of 868 horsepower—690 hp from the engine alone.
