Harmony Intelligent Mobility's Shangjie Z7 and Z7T Now Standard with Creep Lighting

All variants of the Shangjie Z7 and Z7T models from Harmony Intelligent Mobility come standard with low-speed auxiliary lighting, positioned beneath the side exterior rearview mirrors. These lights automatically activate—without any manual input—when all of the following conditions are met: low-beam or high-beam headlights are on, vehicle speed is ≤9 km/h, parking assistance (APA) or 360° panoramic view monitoring (AVM) is engaged, and ambient light levels are low. This feature is designed to illuminate the ground immediately adjacent to the vehicle’s sides, enhancing the driver’s ability to detect curbs, low obstacles, and other hazards, while also providing external visibility as a warning during low-speed maneuvering in dim lighting. The auxiliary lights operate only in specific scenarios and automatically turn off once vehicle speed increases. Shangjie is a joint brand launched by SAIC Motor and Huawei on April 16, 2025, operating under Huawei’s Smart Selection vehicle model and representing the “Fifth Boundary” within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility ecosystem. The Z7 series was officially unveiled on April 22, 2026, and had delivered over 20,000 units cumulatively by July 2026.
