On August 27, during its earnings call, NVIDIA disclosed that revenue from H200 product shipments to Chinese customers in the second quarter accounted for less than 1% of its total data center business revenue. Based on an upper estimate of 1%, this portion of revenue amounted to approximately $900 million (roughly RMB 6.05 billion). This marks the first time in several quarters that the company has released revenue figures specific to the Chinese market. NVIDIA CFO Colette Kress stated that the gross margin on Hopper product shipments was below the company’s overall average. In its guidance for the next quarter, NVIDIA did not include any revenue from data centers in China.
