On August 28, Google announced the launch of Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, a new AI video generation model. The model can generate videos up to 4K resolution and supports extending existing videos in 10-second increments, with individual clips reaching up to 40 seconds in length. Users can specify start and end frames to achieve smooth transitions and camera movements, and can generate 360p previews to accelerate generation speed and reduce costs. The model also supports incorporating reference video clips of up to 3 seconds to maintain visual context and character consistency. Output resolutions are available in either 1080p or 4K. Pricing is set at $0.03 per second for 360p, $0.10 for 720p, $0.15 for 1080p, and $0.30 for 4K.
