SAIC Motor Corporation Limited recently released its 2026 interim report. According to the report, the company achieved consolidated operating revenue of RMB 298.65 billion in the first half of the year, with net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies amounting to RMB 5.15 billion. Excluding the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations and asset impairments, core net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 7.87 billion, an increase of 72% year-on-year. Gross margin stood at 12.6%, up 3 percentage points from the same period last year. Net cash flow from operating activities totaled RMB 54.3 billion, surging 158% year-on-year. In terms of sales volume, SAIC Motor sold a total of 2.045 million vehicles in the first half of the year. Notably, monthly sales of the MG4 family consistently exceeded 10,000 units; deliveries of the new Shangjie models Z7/Z7T surpassed 10,000 units in a single month; IM Motors (Zhiji brand) doubled its sales volume compared to the same period last year; key models such as the Wuling Bingo from SAIC-GM-Wuling maintained steady performance; SAIC-GM’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sales grew by over 80% in the first half; the Jiayue 07 received more than 11,000 blind pre-orders within seven days; and cumulative orders for SAIC’s Robotaxi service have exceeded 420,000. Regarding overseas markets, while deepening its presence in traditional strongholds like Europe, SAIC Motor has expanded into emerging markets such as Central Asia and Africa and continues to advance its localized production strategy. The company has established localized parts manufacturing bases overseas, set up regional service centers, and deployed multiple new vessels—including the “Anji Jisheng” series—boosting its annual ocean shipping capacity to over 600,000 vehicles, with routes covering major global markets. Additionally, SAIC has strengthened its financial empowerment and risk management capabilities by establishing a captive insurance company and launching dedicated overseas financial service packages.
