MIIT Exposes Multiple NEV Models with Mismatched Specs

On August 28, 2025, the Equipment Industry Department I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the results of its 2025 annual inspection on production consistency of new energy vehicle products and disclosed a number of typical cases. The ZLJ5328GJBLBEV battery electric concrete mixer truck produced by Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. was found without an instruction manual, and its tire manufacturer differed from the parameters listed in the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" (hereinafter referred to as the "Announcement"). The GXA5032XLCEV battery electric refrigerated van manufactured by Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. had an onboard real-time monitoring device model inconsistent with the parameters specified in the Announcement. For the JL7001BEV71 battery electric passenger car (Geely Xingyuan) produced by Zhejiang Geely Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the wheelbase, and for the CHP5010XDYBEV-LZW battery electric power supply vehicle manufactured by Hebei Hongchun Special Purpose Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the overall vehicle height, both deviated from their respective declared values in the Announcement by more than the allowable tolerance range (1%). The BYD7153WT6HEV plug-in hybrid electric passenger car (BYD Qin L) produced by BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. exhibited fuel consumption exceeding the value declared by the company in the Announcement under charge-sustaining (CS) mode. The FSQ6650BEVGA battery electric city bus manufactured by Foshan Feichi Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. failed to meet the requirements of GB 13094–2017 "Safety Requirements for Bus Structures" regarding the clear area of emergency windows. The NJA3120EDH32BEV battery electric dump truck produced by Sichuan Nanjun Automobile Group Co., Ltd. did not comply with GB 11567–2017 "Requirements for Side and Rear Underrun Protection for Motor Vehicles and Trailers" concerning its left-side and rear underrun protection devices. In response to these issues, MIIT has taken enforcement actions against the involved enterprises in accordance with the Administrative Licensing Law of the People's Republic of China, the Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Measures for the Administration of Access for Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products, including ordering corrective measures, suspending or revoking the relevant products’ listings in the Announcement, and halting the transmission of certificate-of-conformity electronic information.
