BMW Surpasses 2 Million Global EV Deliveries; New-Gen iX3 Launches in China

BMW Group recently announced that its cumulative global sales of fully electric vehicles have surpassed 2 million units, with total sales of approximately 3.5 million new energy vehicles since 2013. Orders for the new-generation BMW iX3 in the European market are approaching 100,000 units. The model opened for reservations in China on August 21, starting at a nationwide uniform price of RMB 269,900, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2024. The new-generation BMW iX3 comes standard with nearly 40 features across all trims, including the BMW AI Personal Assistant powered by Alibaba’s large language model, Amap’s deeply customized online navigation, localized digital ecosystem applications, and an intelligent driving assistance system co-developed with Momenta. The second locally produced new-generation model, the BMW i3, is slated for delivery in the first quarter of 2025.
