Yijing's Second Model to Offer Battery-Swap Version, Huawei Possibly Joining Swap Network

According to multiple sources, Yijing—a new energy vehicle brand co-developed by Dongfeng and Huawei—is currently developing a battery-swappable version of its second model. If this vehicle adopts a "battery-as-a-service" (BaaS) or "separation of vehicle and battery" model, it could significantly lower the overall purchase price. For example, the Aion RT Super sees its price drop from RMB 128,800 to RMB 88,800 after removing the battery cost, while the battery-swap variant of the BAIC Arcfox Beta S3 starts at just RMB 59,800 when leasing the battery. Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) has already built 2,000 battery swap stations across 180 cities in all 31 provinces nationwide for its "Choco Swap" network, with each swap taking approximately 99 seconds. Yijing primarily sources its batteries from CATL, and the two companies have jointly advanced the Choco Swap ecosystem in cities like Wuhan and Xiangyang since 2025. Yijing’s first model, the X9, launched pre-sales on August 18, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 299,800 to RMB 379,800.
