On August 29, Huawei rolled out a major summer OTA update for its HarmonySpace intelligent cockpit, introducing the MoLA 2.0 architecture. This update brings several new features: the Navigation Agent now includes an active address memory function, allowing users to save custom locations—such as parents’ homes or children’s schools—via voice commands, with subsequent support for voice-based retrieval, modification, and deletion. It also adds en-route geographic information queries, route preference settings, and EV charging station filtering. The upgraded Vehicle Control Agent enables users to verbally inquire about vehicle status details like rear-seat ventilation, tire pressure, and remaining range. Smart Scenarios 2.0 now supports creating complex automation routines—for example, automatically adjusting cabin temperature and seat ventilation, initiating navigation to the office, and playing music when the driver gets in the car. The Media & Entertainment Agent gains fuzzy search capabilities, enabling users to find songs or shows by describing fragments of lyrics or plotlines. Additional enhancements include in-car parking payment functionality, a new eye-care mode for the central display, plus fresh cockpit themes and audio effects. Powered by the MoLA 2.0 architecture, the updated system can now process multiple consecutive voice commands simultaneously, marking a significant leap from executing single instructions to handling complex, multi-step user requests.
