On August 29, at the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo, an official from the National Data Administration revealed that China's total intelligent computing power has reached 2.45 million PFLOPS (FP16), with over 85% contributed by the eight national computing hubs and three computing-power-and-electricity coordinated development zones. Currently, 1.45 million PFLOPS of intelligent computing capacity has been connected to the national monitoring and scheduling platform. The National Data Administration stated it will optimize computing infrastructure布局, enhance supply capacity, strengthen monitoring and scheduling, improve utilization efficiency, and deepen coordination between computing and electricity to foster a robust industrial ecosystem. On the same day, Hu Jianbo, President of the National Institute for Data Development, noted that China granted more than 3,400 patents related to AI agents in 2025, more than double the growth rate of the previous year.
