Tesla Cybercab to Use RGB Light Strips for Vehicle Identification

From:Internet Info Agency 2026-08-30 16:45:09

Tesla's Cybercab will feature an RGB light strip on the front of the vehicle, displaying different colors to help passengers identify their reserved ride and avoid boarding the wrong car. This color identifier will be synchronized with the Robotaxi app, allowing passengers to match the app display with the vehicle’s lighting to confirm the correct match. Tesla plans to open the Cybercab ride service to the public in Austin on September 3 local time. The service has previously been in a nearly two-month trial phase for employees. Considering the needs of visually impaired and color-blind users, Tesla may introduce additional identification methods beyond color in the future.
