New Energy Used Car Sales Hit 839,000 in H1, Up 22% Year-on-Year

According to data from the China Automobile Dealers Association, China's used new-energy vehicle (NEV) transactions reached 839,000 units in the first half of this year, up 22% year-on-year, accounting for 8.6% of total used vehicle transactions. During the same period, overall used vehicle sales approached new vehicle sales volumes, with prices for some used cars roughly half those of new vehicles. Used car dealers in multiple regions reported rising consumer preference for used NEVs, primarily driven by increasingly rational purchasing attitudes among consumers and a more abundant supply of vehicles in the market. Recently, local governments have rolled out policies aimed at optimizing the used vehicle circulation process and supporting the development of the used vehicle market, including that for used NEVs.
