On August 31, NIO announced the official completion of its 90th "Power Journey" route—the "Northern Shanxi Ancient Architecture Loop." Spanning 989 kilometers, the route features eight battery swap stations and follows the path: Taiyuan → Mount Wutai → Yanmen Pass → Datong → Hunyuan → Ying County → Taiyuan. The recommended itinerary is five days and four nights, with the ideal travel season from May to October. The route connects renowned cultural landmarks including the Yungang Grottoes, the Hanging Temple, and the Ying County Wooden Pagoda. As of that date, NIO has built a total of 9,301 charging and swapping stations nationwide, comprising 4,061 battery swap stations and 5,240 charging stations equipped with 30,218 charging piles. The company has delivered over 120 million battery swap services to date. NIO plans to expand its Power Journey network to 100 routes by the end of 2024.
