On August 31, Horizon Robotics-W (HKEX: 9660) released its financial results for the first half of 2026. During the reporting period, the company recorded revenue of RMB 2.055 billion, an increase of 32.9% year-over-year; gross profit reached RMB 1.356 billion, with a consolidated gross margin of 66%, also up 32.9% year-over-year. Breaking down the revenue streams, product and solutions revenue amounted to RMB 926 million, up 14.8% year-over-year, while licensing and services revenue totaled RMB 1.129 billion, surging 52.7% year-over-year. In the first half of 2026, Horizon shipped 2.218 million units of its Journey series chips, an increase of 12.1% year-over-year. As of the end of the reporting period, Horizon had secured design wins for nearly 500 vehicle models, including approximately 130 in the mid-to-high-end intelligent driving segment. The company now serves China’s top six automakers by export volume and has obtained design wins for over 60 export-bound vehicle models. Horizon’s joint venture with Volkswagen Group, Carizon, plans to begin deliveries of Level 3 autonomous driving systems in the second half of 2027. Additionally, the company’s “Stellar” chip for integrated cockpit-and-driving vehicle intelligence and its KKClaw vehicle intelligence operating system are expected to enter mass production in Q4 2026. Horizon’s next-generation strategic chip, Journey 7, is slated for launch in 2027.
