On August 31, Xiong Tianbo, General Manager of BYD Group's Fangchengbao Business Division, revealed that the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT will be launched in September. Both models opened for nationwide pre-orders on August 20, with pre-order prices ranging from RMB 230,000 to RMB 280,000. The two new vehicles made their global physical debut at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show. According to filings submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Fangcheng S measures 5,060 mm long, 1,967 mm wide, and 1,483/1,458 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm, a curb weight of 2,140 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 2,580 kg, and a top speed of 240 km/h. It will be offered in single-motor variants with peak outputs of either 245 kW or 300 kW, as well as a dual-motor variant delivering 190 kW + 300 kW. All versions are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. The Fangcheng S GT measures 5,025/5,095 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and 1,483/1,458 mm in height, with the same 2,960 mm wheelbase. It has a curb weight of 2,170 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 2,595 kg, and a top speed of 240 km/h. Powertrain options include a single-motor version with 300 kW peak output and a dual-motor version rated at 190 kW + 300 kW, also paired with LFP batteries. Both models debut BYD’s new DiLink Smart Ecosystem 2.0, featuring PIN ports, magnetic mounts, and threaded interfaces throughout the cabin, enabling customizable, upgradable, and evolving interior experiences.
