Ford Recalls 148,663 Mustangs in U.S. for 2024–2026 Models

On September 1, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Ford Motor Company will recall 148,663 model-year 2024–2026 Mustang vehicles in the United States. The recall stems from a potential break in the engine compartment wiring harness ground connection, which could result in loss of propulsion and simultaneously cause headlights to go out, the windshield washer system to fail, the air conditioning to stop working, and the engine cooling fan to cease operation. Dealers will replace the engine compartment wiring harness ground terminal free of charge to address the issue. Ford will notify affected vehicle owners by mail, and owners can also check if their vehicle is included in the recall by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the NHTSA website.
