On September 3, Lifan Motor issued a statement addressing reports from customers who purchased counterfeit "Lifan Kaiser 260" motorcycles at the Beiqi authorized dealership in Lhasa, Tibet. After investigation, Lifan Motor confirmed it has never authorized any merchant or individual to manufacture, rebrand, or sell so-called high-altitude customized models such as the "Lifan Kaiser," nor does it have any sub-brands, co-branded manufacturing arrangements, or authorized customization partnerships. All counterfeit models circulating in the market are entirely unrelated to Lifan Motor. Lifan Motor has imposed penalties on the involved Beiqi authorized dealership in Lhasa, Tibet: immediate termination of cooperation, revocation of all official authorizations, and an order for comprehensive rectification. The case has also been referred to the company’s legal department for review, and relevant parties will be held legally accountable. The company has awarded a brand-new, genuine Lifan Zhanlang motorcycle (Pure Blood Edition) free of charge to the whistleblower user "Yangjia Xiaoniangzi," and a genuine Lifan recreational-series motorcycle free of charge to user "Renren (Chengdu Roller Skating to Lhasa)." Lifan Motor will fully assist both individuals in pursuing legal remedies and handling all follow-up matters related to the counterfeit vehicles. Effective immediately, Lifan Motor will launch a nationwide special crackdown campaign against counterfeit motorcycles in collaboration with market regulation authorities. The genuine Lifan Zhanlang (Pure Blood Edition) is now available on Lifan Motor’s official flagship stores on Douyin and Tmall, equipped with factory-compliant electronic fuel injection systems, complete documentation, and eligible for legal registration nationwide.
