On September 1, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Guidelines on Overseas Competitive Practices and Compliance Management for the Automotive Industry," offering general guidance to Chinese automotive enterprises engaged in international production and operations regarding their overseas market conduct and compliance frameworks. The guidelines cover areas including overseas marketing, workplace safety, quality management, labor protection, and data security. On September 3, Great Wall Motor stated it would take these Guidelines as a new anchor point for its international expansion, adhering to the core principles of "lawful compliance, fair competition, and mutual benefit," and advancing its long-term "ecosystem globalization" strategy. As of September 3, other automakers—including BYD, Chery, Seres, and Geely Holding—had also responded to the Guidelines.
