Hyundai Mobis Launches Mass Production of E-Drive Systems at Slovak Plant with Annual Capacity of 280,000 Units

On September 2 local time, Hyundai Mobis announced the official start of mass production of electric drive (PE) systems at its new plant in Nováky, Slovakia. This facility marks Hyundai Mobis’s first PE system production base in Europe and its third electrification manufacturing site on the continent. The PE system integrates core components such as the motor, inverter, and reducer. Covering an area of approximately 106,000 square meters and representing a total investment of around KRW 250 billion, the plant has an annual production capacity of up to 280,000 PE systems, which will be supplied to Hyundai Motor, Kia, and other global automakers.
