Auto Trade Hits $32.33B in July 2026, Up 29.4% YoY

According to data from China Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in July 2026, the total import and export value of automotive products reached USD 32.33 billion, up 1.6% month-over-month and 29.4% year-over-year. Specifically, imports amounted to USD 3.57 billion, an increase of 5.4% month-over-month but a decline of 20.6% year-over-year; exports totaled USD 28.76 billion, rising 1.1% month-over-month and 40.4% year-over-year. From January to July 2026, the cumulative total import and export value of automotive products nationwide reached USD 197.06 billion, an increase of 26.1% year-over-year. Of this, imports totaled USD 22.82 billion, down 13.3% year-over-year, while exports reached USD 174.24 billion, up 34.2% year-over-year.
