NIO Firefly Hits 80,000 Deliveries

On September 5, 2026, NIO held a delivery ceremony in Hefei to mark the 80,000th unit of its Firefly brand. Previously, on July 16, 2026, the brand announced it had surpassed 70,000 cumulative deliveries, adding another 10,000 units in less than two months. On August 7, 2026, NIO inaugurated its 4,000th battery swap station—and its first fifth-generation station—at Qiaoxiang Sports Center in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, officially integrating the Firefly into NIO’s battery swap network. According to sales data released on September 1, 2026, NIO delivered 35,836 new vehicles in August 2026, an increase of 14.5% year-over-year; of these, Firefly deliveries reached 5,852 units, up 34.7% year-over-year. In the first eight months of 2026, NIO delivered a total of 262,893 new vehicles, up 57.9% year-over-year, while Firefly delivered 40,795 units, surging 180.3% year-over-year.
