Tesla's Cybercab does not support AC charging and is compatible only with DC fast charging. The vehicle eliminates the onboard charger (OBC), making it incompatible with standard Level 2 AC charging stations. This design aims to reduce manufacturing costs, decrease weight, and enhance reliability—features tailored for high-utilization commercial fleet operations. The Cybercab features a concealed NACS charging port and currently supports DC fast charging exclusively via a wired connection. Tesla is building dedicated charging and maintenance hubs for its Robotaxi fleet and plans to introduce wireless charging technology in the future. If the Cybercab becomes available for consumer purchase, it may require配套 home wireless charging equipment; however, as of September 6, Tesla has not announced details regarding individual sales timing, retail pricing, or home charging solutions.
