CATL Partners with Taijin New Energy, HKC New Materials to Build 400,000-Ton Copper Foil Capacity in Three Years

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) has signed strategic cooperation agreements with companies including Taijin New Energy and Shenzhen HKC New Materials Co., Ltd. The parties will engage in long-term collaboration across multiple areas, including centralized procurement of copper foil equipment, joint capacity building, cost-based pricing, co-development of technologies, and shared use of green electricity. Under the agreements, CATL and two partners, including HKC New Materials, will jointly build 400,000 metric tons of new copper foil production capacity over the next three years.
