Volkswagen ID. UNYX Shadow Edition Hits Dealerships Nationwide; Priced at ¥230,000, Launches September 12

Volkswagen Anhui announced that the Zhongyou 08 Hunter Edition has started arriving at dealerships nationwide and will officially launch and begin deliveries on September 12. The model debuted with pre-sales at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, with a pre-sale price of RMB 230,000. Measuring 5,000 mm in length, 1,954 mm in width, and 1,688 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm, it is positioned as a mid-to-large five-seat all-electric SUV. Based on the Zhongyou 08 Ultra trim, the Hunter Edition comes standard across all variants with four equipment packages valued at over RMB 40,000: the Hunter exterior and interior styling kit, Vibratech dual-chamber air suspension, ZF DCC adaptive chassis, an onboard refrigerator, and rear folding table trays. Powered by an 800V high-voltage architecture, the vehicle features 95 kWh CATL battery cells, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 730 km and achieving a 10%–80% charge in just 20 minutes. It is offered in two drivetrain configurations: a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version producing a maximum output of 230 kW and peak torque of 465 N·m, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant with a combined system output of 370 kW. In terms of intelligent features, the vehicle is equipped with the latest-generation VLA 2.0 end-to-end large AI model, standard dual Turing chips delivering a total computing power of 1,500 TOPS, and 26 high-precision perception sensors.
