Changan Auto Announces Enhanced Overseas Compliance Standards

On September 4, Changan Automobile announced it would advance its overseas compliance initiatives to higher standards, emphasizing that compliance is not a cost but a competitive advantage for sustainable development. This move responds to the "Guidelines on Overseas Competitive Practices and Compliance Management for the Automotive Industry," jointly issued on September 1 by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration for Market Regulation. The guidelines provide general reference for Chinese automotive companies engaged in international operations regarding compliance in areas such as overseas market competition, marketing practices, workplace safety, quality management, labor protection, and data security. As of September 6, automakers including BYD, Chery, Seres, Geely Holding, Great Wall Motor, and GAC Group have all responded to the guidelines.
