Wey's Gao Shan Family Launches New Models: PHEV Debuting in September, HEV Coming in Q4

On September 7, Great Wall Motor's premium brand Wey announced via its official Weibo account that the Gaoshan family will welcome a new member, with the PHEV variant launching within September and the HEV version scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year. The new models will be sold alongside the current versions, offering two distinct styles and positioning strategies. The current Gaoshan model is now available at a limited-time promotional price starting from RMB 265,800. According to the new product disclosure in the 410th batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," the all-new Wey Gaoshan 8 Hi4 and Gaoshan 9 have completed their official filings. The Gaoshan 9 is a six-seater MPV measuring 5,410 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,890 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,275 mm, a gross vehicle weight of 3,455 kg, and a curb weight of 2,960 kg. The Gaoshan 8 Hi4 is a hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicle powered by a gasoline-electric hybrid system that cannot be externally charged. It measures 5,280 mm long, 1,960 mm wide, and 1,900 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,145 mm and seating for seven passengers.
