Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory Delivers Over 86,000 Vehicles in August 2026

According to statistics from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered over 86,000 vehicles in August 2026, marking year-over-year growth. As Tesla’s largest global export hub, the factory supplies vehicles to markets across Asia-Pacific and Europe. In July 2026, Tesla became South Korea’s best-selling imported brand for the sixth consecutive month, with the Model Y ranking as the country’s top-selling passenger car across all segments that month. In the first half of 2026, the Model Y was Japan’s best-selling imported vehicle, and its cumulative sales from January to July already surpassed its total sales for the entire year of 2025. Tesla’s sales in Australia surged by 404% year-over-year in July 2026, with the Model Y L accounting for more than half of those deliveries. From January to July 2026, the Model Y’s cumulative sales in Europe exceeded 110,000 units, up 55% year-over-year, making it the region’s best-selling all-electric vehicle. Additionally, Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory recently produced its 6 millionth battery pack, which is used in the Model 3 and Model Y and supplied to both domestic and overseas markets.
