Tesla has announced the "Cybercab Japan Tour," an offline showcase event for its Cybercab model, set to take place across four venues in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka starting September 11, 2024. The Aoyama venue in Tokyo will be held at "OMAKASE Aoyama Garden by GMO" from September 11 to 14. The Osaka venue will be located at the "Tesla Grand Front Osaka" showroom from September 17 to 20. The Nagoya venue will be hosted at the "Tesla Nagoya Noritake" showroom. The Shinjuku, Tokyo venue will take place at the "Tesla Shinjuku" showroom from September 26 to 28. The Cybercab was first unveiled as a concept vehicle at Tesla’s "We, Robot" event in October 2024. The first production unit is scheduled to roll off the production line at Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory in February 2026, with full-scale mass production commencing in April 2026. The vehicle employs a "unboxed" manufacturing process, which enhances production efficiency and optimizes manufacturing costs by enabling parallel production of sub-assemblies followed by final assembly.
