According to informed sources, Stellantis is engaged in advanced negotiations with Huawei and JAC Group regarding a long-term partnership for its Maserati brand. The talks have progressed significantly, with a key focus on integrating Maserati vehicles with Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) platform. The goal is to begin production of the first jointly developed model by the end of 2027. The collaboration could adopt a "dual-brand" approach: vehicles would be sold in China under MAEXTRO, JAC’s premium brand, and as Maserati in overseas markets. In June this year, Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa stated that the company is actively seeking expanded manufacturing partnerships for Maserati, emphasizing that such collaborations are a critical component of its €60 billion business plan through 2030. A successful agreement would help improve capacity utilization at Maserati’s plants in Cassino and Modena, Italy. Maserati’s global deliveries fell below 8,000 units in 2025, resulting in an adjusted operating loss of €198 million (approximately $230 million). The brand plans to unveil its long-term strategic roadmap in December 2025. A Stellantis spokesperson noted that the company routinely engages in discussions with industry players worldwide on various topics, all aimed at delivering the best mobility solutions to customers.
