GAC Group Posts 1.01 Million Vehicle Sales in Jan–Aug 2026, with Self-Brands Up 31.44%

GAC Group reported cumulative vehicle sales of 1,012,603 units from January to August 2026, up 0.21% year-on-year. Of this total, its self-owned brands accounted for 461,500 units, surging 31.44% year-on-year and marking six consecutive months of double-digit growth. In August alone, GAC’s self-owned brands sold 61,378 vehicles, a 20.43% year-on-year increase, representing 48.49% of the group’s total sales for the month. In terms of exports, GAC’s self-owned brands exported nearly 27,000 vehicles in August, soaring 177% year-on-year. Cumulative exports from January to August reached 172,000 units, up 136% year-on-year. Additionally, GAC Group’s vehicle production in August 2026 totaled 126,727 units, down 1.18% year-on-year, while sales for the month stood at 126,584 units, a 6.71% year-on-year decline. Total production from January to August amounted to 1,026,789 units, down 2.99% year-on-year.
