Volkswagen Group announced on September 7 that it has reached key framework terms with the German state of Lower Saxony and the Israeli investment firm Aurelius Capital regarding a potential sale of Volkswagen Osnabrück GmbH. The plant, which has 125 years of industrial history and currently employs approximately 1,800 people, is planned to gradually transition from a traditional vehicle manufacturing site into a center for security and defense solutions.
