BYD Han EV Flagship Sedan Launches Pre-sales, Showroom Models Arrive in 32 Cities

On September 7, BYD announced that its flagship sedan of the Dynasty Series 9—the Han EV—has started arriving at dealerships across 32 cities nationwide, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Chongqing, Xi’an, Suzhou, Tianjin, Ningbo, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Dongguan, Foshan, Hefei, Wuxi, Shenyang, Jinan, Kunming, Wenzhou, Xiamen, Luoyang, Yantai, Changzhou, Shijiazhuang, Xuzhou, Zhuhai, Ordos, and Xuchang. The vehicle launched its pre-sales at the Chengdu Auto Show and is available in three all-electric variants: the 1,008 km rear-wheel-drive LiDAR Premium model priced at RMB 249,900, the 1,008 km rear-wheel-drive LiDAR Flagship model at RMB 269,900, and the 880 km all-wheel-drive LiDAR Flagship model at RMB 299,900. The Han EV measures 5,256 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. Its interior features an enveloping cockpit design, delivering an industry-leading cabin space utilization ratio of 90.8%, with 2,005 mm of longitudinal space and 1,580 mm of lateral space. Standard equipment includes dual front zero-gravity seats, a Devialet 31-speaker audio system, an Amber Flow lighting-audio ambiance system, acoustic laminated glass on all four doors, and over 130 acoustic materials throughout the cabin. The vehicle offers a 130-liter front trunk and a total of 46 storage and expandable spaces, along with a “central king-size bed” seating configuration. It also debuts the world’s first black PDLC electrochromic privacy glass, which provides heat insulation, UV protection, and enhanced privacy. Under CLTC conditions, the all-electric variant achieves a maximum range of up to 1,008 km.
