On September 4, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, announced that reservations for the refreshed Aito R7, part of Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility lineup, will open this month. The new model offers a maximum CLTC-rated range of 855 km and features eight major upgrades. According to disclosures, the vehicle will now be available with an in-cabin shared-optical-path LiDAR version, with pricing expected to be competitive. Exterior updates include a new "Titanium Silver" color option, a flowing ambient-light cabin design, a D-shaped sport steering wheel, dual integrated displays, semi-flush door handles, a redesigned hollowed-out logo, and an additional side-facing high-mounted camera on the B-pillar. The infotainment system has been upgraded to HarmonyOS, the same exclusive version found in the Aito M9.
