China’s Auto Exports Hit 7.446 Million Units Jan–Aug; Rare Earths and Steel Exports Rise MoM in August

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China exported 7.446 million vehicles (including chassis) from January to August 2023. Rare earth exports in August totaled 4,735.1 metric tons, up from 4,223.5 metric tons in July, bringing the cumulative rare earth exports for January–August to 39,441.4 metric tons. Steel exports in August reached 10.155 million metric tons, slightly higher than July's 10.121 million metric tons, with total steel exports for the first eight months amounting to 75.149 million metric tons.
