Xiaomi Launches In-Car Public Network Walkie-Talkie at ¥499 with One Year of Free Data

Xiaomi has launched a new vehicle-mounted public network walkie-talkie, part of the Xiaomi Pengcheng N70 ecosystem. Priced at RMB 599, it is available now with an introductory price of RMB 499. The device supports 4G public network push-to-talk services across all three major Chinese carriers, offering nationwide coverage and one year of free data (the SIM card’s validity begins from the month of activation and expires at 24:00 on the last day of the 12th calendar month). The walkie-talkie features a magnetic snap-on mount installed beneath the rearview mirror. The included bracket is compatible with all Xiaomi vehicle models; for other brands, a 1/4-inch threaded hole beneath the rearview mirror is required. It houses a high-temperature-resistant nickel-metal hydride battery, delivering up to 10 hours of standalone usage. Equipped with a universal Type-C charging port, it can also draw power directly from the Type-C charging port on Xiaomi car rearview mirrors. Functionally, it supports instant face-to-face team creation, group switching, long-range private group communication, and OTA firmware updates. Holding the team button for two seconds enters team mode; double-pressing the power button activates Bluetooth pairing mode; double-pressing the team button triggers voice announcements of device status. Real-time location sharing among teammates is also supported. Initially compatible with all Xiaomi Pengcheng vehicle models, support for other brands will be rolled out gradually via OTA updates. For audio performance, it features a full-range box-type speaker with an independent sealed acoustic chamber and a dual-MIC array noise reduction system. Additional features include a large call button, a dot-matrix display, and a lanyard hole, making it ideal for road trips, group travel, camping, and similar scenarios.
