On September 9, 2026, Harmony Intelligent Mobility released an official video showcasing the collision-avoidance braking function of the Luxeed RX coupe SUV. The footage shows that when encountering an extremely narrow archway scenario, the Luxeed RX triggers its collision-avoidance braking function, and a warning message reading “Please brake immediately” appears on the instrument cluster. The collision-avoidance braking function is enabled by default on the Luxeed RX but can be manually disabled. Once disabled, the vehicle will not automatically apply brakes when there is a risk of collision with objects ahead, crossing from the front, behind, or crossing from the rear. The function automatically reactivates after the vehicle is restarted. On August 20, at the launch event for the Sharee G9 and new Harmony Intelligent Mobility products, Yu Chengdong—Executive Director of Huawei, Chairman of the Product Investment Review Committee, and Chairman of Huawei’s Consumer BG—announced that the Luxeed RX features an L3-grade autonomous driving architecture. Positioned as a coupe SUV, the Luxeed RX is built on Huawei’s Tuling platform and offers two powertrain configurations: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. It measures 5,020 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width, and 1,585 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The vehicle debuts Huawei’s next-generation high-performance electric drive system, Zhiqing. Equipped with 38 fused perception sensors—including an 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR, three high-precision solid-state LiDAR units—the Luxeed RX also features binocular rearview mirrors and intelligent wrap-around seats.
