On September 9, BYD released its investor relations activity record. According to the record, the second-generation Blade Battery serves as the core foundation for flash-charging vehicles, and starting in the second half of 2026, monthly production capacity for the second-generation Blade Battery will gradually ramp up. Currently, market orders for flash-charging vehicles are robust, and the company is actively expanding production lines. BYD stated that since 2026, it has optimized its product portfolio around the two core technological directions of "electrification" and "intelligentization," achieving month-over-month sales recovery and steadily increasing market share. Regarding its premium brands, BYD reported that combined sales of its Fangchengbao, Denza, and Yangwang brands grew by 61.0% year-on-year in the first half of 2026. As of July, cumulative sales of Fangchengbao have exceeded 200,000 units. Based on current order volumes and product rollout schedules, the company expects combined annual sales of these three brands in 2026 to maintain their growth momentum. Recent reports claimed that BYD management disclosed during a conference call that backlog orders for vehicles supporting flash-charging technology amounted to approximately 250,000 units, with sufficient production capacity expected by the first quarter of 2027. In response, BYD stated on the 8th that this report was inaccurate.
