On September 10, 2026, GAC Aion announced the OTA update details for the second-generation AION V and V Home models. This update includes 13 new features and 15 experience optimizations, which will be rolled out in batches starting from September 16. New features include: Explore Aion function; voiceprint recognition, delayed-listening voice assistant, and Cantonese voice assistant; full-scenario microphone-free karaoke; Apple CarPlay smartphone-vehicle connectivity; Sentry Mode (supporting both local and cloud storage); sharing images from phone to vehicle infotainment system; switching interface language between Chinese and English; upgrade to Amap Map engine version 810; remote parking assist, valet parking assist, and safe roadside parking functions; low-speed and reversing active safety assist; accelerator pedal misapplication prevention assist; upgrading the intelligent driving assistance model to Momenta R6 reinforcement learning large model; and enabling autonomous passage through highway ETC gantries during navigation-assisted driving. The second-generation GAC Aion AION V all-electric SUV was launched in July 2024. The vehicle is equipped with iFlytek voice assistant supporting four-zone voice interaction with a response time of 280ms, and features a map version integrated with traffic light countdown functionality, offering usage scenarios such as karaoke room, gaming lounge, cinema, and rest space. It delivers a range of 750 km with an energy consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km, incorporates SiC technology, and has a drag coefficient of 0.273. Based on a 400V platform, it can replenish 125 km of range in 5 minutes and 370 km in 15 minutes. For intelligent driving hardware, it adopts a perception suite comprising five millimeter-wave radars, eleven visual cameras, and one LiDAR, along with NVIDIA Orin X platform. At launch, it supported urban NDA functionality and offered features including automatic parking, remote parking, and memory parking.
