Nine Departments Including MIIT Release the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles"

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and eight other departments have issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles." The plan proposes enhancing the resilience and security of the industrial chain; continuously implementing high-quality industrial chain development initiatives to overcome technological bottlenecks in critical foundational materials, operating systems, industrial software, automotive chips, and components; leveraging policies such as first-batch materials and first-edition software to steadily expand application scale; and coordinating the extraction and recycling of key mineral resources including lithium, cobalt, and nickel.
