FAW-Volkswagen Jetta VS5 and VS8 Launched in Madagascar

On September 4, FAW-Volkswagen launched two Jetta-branded SUV models, the VS5 and VS8, in Madagascar, with both models debuting simultaneously. This introduction targets the African market, adding a new location to FAW-Volkswagen’s overseas footprint. The launch event featured zones for static vehicle displays, test drives, and brand interaction. Over 100 attendees were present, including representatives from Sodiama SA—the local key distributor—as well as industry media and major customers. In terms of international operations, FAW-Volkswagen had previously entered markets such as the Middle East, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. Tailored specifically for African road conditions, climate, and local vehicle usage requirements, the company carried out dedicated adaptation development and calibration for the VS5 and VS8. It has also established an overseas support process encompassing international logistics, spare parts supply, and after-sales technical support.
