On September 10, the smart #2 launched its early bird program, allowing users to secure benefits such as priority test drives and preferred body colors by paying a refundable deposit of RMB 298. The vehicle will make its global debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 12 and is scheduled for official market launch in mid-November. As the successor to the smart fortwo, the #2 features a two-door, two-seater layout, with dimensions of 2,751 (2,764) mm in length, 1,669 mm in width, and 1,555 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 1,875 mm. It offers 15-inch and 16-inch wheel options. Built on smart’s proprietary ECA compact EV architecture, the car achieves a minimum turning diameter of approximately 6.95 meters. Power comes from a rear-mounted single motor delivering up to 82 hp, paired with an LFP battery pack of around 35.7 kWh, offering a CLTC range close to 400 km. DC fast charging enables a 10%–80% charge in under 20 minutes. Also on September 10, Geely Galaxy TT officially launched with five variants priced between RMB 129,900 and RMB 185,900 during an initial limited-time offer period. Positioned as a mid-to-large all-electric sedan, it is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and available in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. Its dimensions measure 4,999 mm long, 1,919 mm wide, and 1,479 mm tall, with a 2,920 mm wheelbase, and it comes with 18- or 19-inch wheels. The cabin features a 15.4-inch center touchscreen, a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, and a 25.6-inch AR-HUD, powered by Flyme Auto 2 and a 4nm cockpit chip. It includes a 110-liter front trunk. Driver assistance systems vary by trim: the Qianli Haohan H5 and H7 solutions both integrate LiDAR, with the top variant equipped with the Thor-U chip offering up to 700 TOPS of computing power. The suspension uses double-wishbone front and five-link rear setups, complemented by adaptive damping. The RWD version delivers 333 hp and offers CLTC ranges of 640 km or 725 km; the AWD Ultra variant combines front and rear motors for a total output of 578 hp, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds with a 650 km CLTC range. The vehicle supports 6C ultra-fast charging. Pre-orders exceeded 20,000 units, and over 10,000 firm orders were placed within 15 minutes of launch. On September 8, the Avatr T09 appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 411th batch of new vehicle announcements. Positioned as a large six-seater SUV co-designed by Avatr and Huawei Qiankun, it is slated for official launch later this year. Measuring 5,285 mm long, 2,025 mm wide, and 1,810 mm tall, with a 3,150 mm wheelbase, it adopts a 2+2+2 seating configuration. For intelligent driving, it will be equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5, featuring a four-LiDAR hardware setup. The chassis integrates closed dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and distributed electric drive, supporting crab-walk mode and achieving a minimum turning radius under 4 meters. Two plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain options are offered: the entry-level variant pairs a 1.5T engine (150 hp) with front and rear motors (245 hp and 422 hp peak outputs, respectively); the higher-spec version uses a 2.0T engine (211 hp) with three motors (245 hp, 306 hp, and 306 hp). Both configurations are matched with a 71.24 kWh CATL battery, enabling a maximum CLTC all-electric range exceeding 400 km. Avatr has introduced a “dual-line” strategy: models like the 11 and 12 will remain in the Pioneer series, while the T09 initiates a new product line. On September 7, the Cadillac XT5 PHEV officially launched with two variants. The suggested retail price ranges from RMB 310,000 to RMB 350,000, with a full-payment flat price of RMB 279,900–299,900 and a limited-time promotional price of RMB 259,900–279,900 after applicable purchase subsidies. Based on the second-generation XT5, it adds plug-in hybrid capability. Dimensions are 4,888 mm long, 1,957 mm wide, and 1,688 mm tall, with a 2,863 mm wheelbase. The interior features a 33-inch 9K curved display, powered by the Qualcomm 8775P chip and enhanced with AI voice functionality. All trims include LiDAR and run Momenta’s R7 world model. The powertrain combines a 1.5T engine with P1+P3+P4 motors in a PHEV system, standard with AWD and a two-speed DHT. Total system output reaches 524 hp and 740 N·m of peak torque, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 4.8 seconds. A 35.5 kWh battery provides 215 km of CLTC all-electric range and a combined range of 1,360 km, supported by 5C fast charging. Higher trims feature predictive adaptive damping suspension and a six-piston braking system.
