"Flat Fiat" Measuring 50.20 cm Wide Earns Guinness World Record

In September 2026, Guinness World Records officially certified a vehicle named the "Flat Fiat" as the world's narrowest drivable car. This record was established under a dedicated category evaluating vehicle width. The car was built by Andrea Marazzi, a mechanic from Bagnolo Cremasco, Italy, at his auto recycling business, Autodemolizione Marazzi. Over the course of one year, Marazzi cut, welded, and reassembled a 1993 Fiat Panda, reducing its body width to approximately one-third of the original factory width. About 99% of the finished vehicle’s components came from that single Fiat Panda. The completed car measures 50.20 cm wide, 3.40 m long, and 1.45 m high, with a total weight of approximately 264 kg. It is fully electric, powered by a small electric scooter motor paired with a 24-volt battery, achieving a top speed of around 15 km/h and a range of roughly 25 km. The driver sits centered in the cabin, which accommodates only one person. The vehicle is equipped with a small steering wheel, four wheels, one headlight, and two taillights. The car has not passed road certification and is not legally permitted for public roads; it can only be displayed in enclosed venues. Only one unit exists, and there are no plans for commercial production.
