Yijing X9 Completes ~61km Intelligent Driving Live Test in Chongqing

On September 11, the Yijing X9 held a large-scale media intelligent driving livestream event in Chongqing with around 100 participants. Multiple livestream teams departed and went live simultaneously to publicly test Huawei Qiankun ADS 5. The route covered multi-level interchanges, old urban districts, tunnel clusters, and mountainous winding roads, spanning approximately 61 kilometers. On August 18, the Yijing X9 began pre-sales, receiving 21,235 orders within the first 24 hours. The vehicle is scheduled to officially launch and go on sale later this month. The Yijing X9 is co-developed by Dongfeng Motor and Huawei Qiankun. It is a large six-seater SUV equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 and HarmonySpace 6 intelligent cockpit. In terms of hardware, it features a four-laser perception system, including an 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR and a high-precision solid-state LiDAR, complemented by 11 HD cameras and distributed 4D millimeter-wave radars—totaling 32 sensors. The system leverages over 15 billion kilometers of real-world driving data and the WEWA 2.0 architecture, achieving a tenfold increase in cloud-based simulation intensity. For safety, the vehicle is equipped with the CAS 5.0 full-dimensional collision avoidance system: forward AEB operates at speeds from 1–150 km/h, rearward AEB from 1–60 km/h, and lateral collision avoidance from 10–130 km/h. The 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR can detect objects as low as 14 cm at a distance of 120 meters, even in conditions such as nighttime or heavy rain. In terms of intelligent driving assistance, the Yijing X9 offers both Urban Roaming Cruise Assist (RCA) and Campus Roaming Cruise Assist (RCA). Its chassis integrates the HUAWEI XMC Six-Domain Converged Digital Chassis, which coordinates powertrain, braking, steering, suspension, body control, and thermal management. It also features an all-aluminum chassis, intelligent dual-chamber air suspension, and EDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 75-inch enhanced AR-HUD head-up display.
