Huawei and Seres to Adjust Smart Selection Vehicle Partnership This Week, Sources Say

According to informed sources, the Smart Selection vehicle collaboration model between Huawei and Seres will be adjusted this week. Going forward, Huawei will adopt a light-asset approach in its partnership with Seres, shifting leadership in product, marketing, sales, and services from Huawei to Seres, with Huawei providing enabling support. Following this adjustment, Harmony Intelligent Mobility will concentrate its resources to accelerate the development of its Zhijie, Xiangjie, Zunjie, and Shangjie brands. In August 2026, Harmony Intelligent Mobility delivered 42,101 vehicles, representing a 10.8% year-to-date increase in cumulative deliveries. To date, total cumulative deliveries across all Harmony Intelligent Mobility models have exceeded 1.52 million units. In August 2026, Seres sold 24,244 new energy vehicles, down 43.96% year-over-year; of these, Seres-branded vehicles accounted for 20,652 units, a 49.68% year-over-year decline.
