Tesla Revises Multiple Parameters in Model YL Owner's Manual, Overall Dimensions Reduced by 3–4 mm

On the afternoon of September 15, Tesla revised parameters such as the overall vehicle height and ground clearance in the Model YL owner's manual, reducing them by 3–4 millimeters across the board. Recently, multiple Tesla owners have reported that their Model YL vehicles—delivered less than a year ago—experienced rear wheel sagging during scenarios like long-distance driving, resulting in reduced gaps between the rear wheel arches and tires. Some owners reported the issue reoccurring even after replacing springs through after-sales service. Tesla has not yet issued an official public response regarding the rear wheel sagging issue. A comparison between previous and current versions of the Tesla Model YL owner’s manual shows that in the April 2026 version, the vehicle’s total height was listed as 1,668 mm, loaded ground clearance as 122 mm, and unloaded ground clearance as 169 mm. In the latest version, these figures were updated to a total height of 1,664 mm, loaded ground clearance of 118 mm, and unloaded ground clearance of 166 mm. As of the time of publication, Tesla has not officially responded to inquiries about the parameter adjustments. Tesla customer service stated they have not received any related notifications and have no information to share on the matter.
