Zhijie Announces Procurement for Handling and Stability Development of Full Active Suspension Variant for a Model

On September 15, blogger @FutureLearningNotes revealed that Zhiji’s vehicle model equipped with active suspension is scheduled to debut in 2027. A screenshot shared by the blogger showed that a procurement notice had been issued for the handling and stability development project of a certain Zhiji model (full active suspension version). According to the procurement scope, the project aims—after tuning and calibration—to ensure the active suspension variant delivers stability, steering performance, and ride comfort; provides isolation from mid-to-high-frequency road inputs; controls low-frequency vibrations transmitted to the steering wheel, seats, and floor; ensures controllable and damped vehicle oscillation during emergency braking; offers linear steering feedback with distinguishable feel between Comfort and Sport modes; and meets requirements for body roll control in cornering, lane changes, acceleration/deceleration on straight roads, as well as achieving target performance in moose tests under emergency obstacle avoidance scenarios. Suppliers are required to provide handling and stability targets, work plans, development proposals, tuning parameters, subjective and objective testing, along with necessary personnel and facilities, to fulfill Chery’s technical requirements and standards. In January 2026, Zhao Changjiang, Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Zhiji Auto, disclosed in an interview that Zhiji would launch a flagship MPV (Zhiji V9) and a large SUV in 2026, forming a product cluster alongside the R7 and S7. Regarding internationalization, Zhiji products will be “globally synchronized,” with a right-hand-drive version of the V9 slated for release in the second half of 2026.
