Qijing Auto Responds on GX7 EV Plans: Launching Range-Extended Version for Now

On the evening of September 15, 2026, Qijing Auto released its 12th Q&A session addressing user inquiries, responding to questions about whether the Qijing GX7 would offer a fully electric version. The company stated that the Qijing GX7 is currently available only with an extended-range powertrain, and any future product updates will be promptly announced through official Qijing Auto channels. According to product planning, the vehicle is scheduled to officially launch by the end of September 2026, with deliveries commencing simultaneously. Regarding the lifetime warranty coverage, the Qijing GX7 offers lifetime warranty for the entire vehicle and core components. Exclusions include consumable parts such as wiper blades, tires, cabin air filters, and brake pads. Covered components include the triad electric system (battery pack, drive motor assembly, motor controller assembly), range extender, air suspension, intelligent projection headlights, and shock absorbers. This warranty imposes no restrictions on vehicle mileage, number of repairs, repair costs, or duration of coverage. The benefit applies to the first non-commercial owner, provided the vehicle remains registered under their name and retains its non-commercial usage status. The Qijing GX7 measures 5,099 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, and 1,750 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm. It is available in six exterior colors: Chaka Silver, Meili White, Baikal Blue, West Lake Misty Purple, Provence Purple, and Pamir Black. The Qijing GX7 integrates Huawei’s seven automotive intelligent solutions: Huawei Qiankun ADS, HarmonyOS Cockpit, Huawei Qiankun Chitu Platform, Huawei Qiankun Vehicle Light, Huawei Qiankun Vehicle Cloud, Huawei Jingfin Communications, and Huawei Zhiting eDrive. As one of the first models equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5, it features four LiDAR units and 38 high-performance sensors (14 forward-facing, 12 rear-facing, and 12 side-facing). It is also among the first vehicles to debut HarmonyOS Cockpit 6. All Qijing GX7 variants come standard with CATL batteries, offered in two capacities: 52 kWh and 67 kWh. The CLTC-rated all-electric range spans 325–385 km, while the CLTC combined range reaches 1,500–1,580 km. Positioned as a mid-to-large-size spacious five-seater SUV, the Qijing GX7 has a pre-sale price range of RMB 249,900 to RMB 311,900. Specifically, the Extended-Range Ultra variant starts at RMB 249,900, the Extended-Range Ultra Dual-Motor variant at RMB 269,900, and the Extended-Range Ultra Triple-Motor variant at RMB 311,900.
