Geely Reportedly Considering Producing Galaxy Battleship 700 at Valencia Plant in Spain

On the afternoon of September 16, reports indicated that Geely is considering producing the Galaxy Warship 700 at its Almussafes plant in Valencia, Spain. The Galaxy Warship 700 features a 2.0T turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a three-motor hybrid system—one motor powers the front axle, while two others drive the rear axle—delivering a combined output of 1,113 horsepower. The vehicle is built on Geely’s GTA all-terrain architecture. Pre-sales for the Galaxy Warship 700 have already begun, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 199,800 to RMB 269,800. Additionally, a Land Ark edition is available for pre-order at RMB 389,800. Previously, Geely and Ford confirmed that all jointly produced models will be based on the GEA global intelligent new energy architecture, with the first model being the Xingyuan. Geely plans to use the GEA architecture to produce compact and midsize SUVs at the Valencia plant. Ford intends to develop a Bronco based on the current Escape platform and, through its collaboration with Geely, launch another SUV built on the GEA architecture. The first joint model from the partnership is scheduled to roll off the production line in 2028. In the European market, Geely has currently unveiled four models: the Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i, Galaxy E5, Xingyuan, and the midsize plug-in hybrid SUV Xingyue L, which is slated for launch by the end of 2026. According to its roadmap, Geely aims to expand its European lineup to 11 models by 2028.
