BYD Denza Z9S Expected to Launch on September 23 with Pre-sale Price Range of RMB 319,800–389,800

The BYD Denza Z9S is scheduled to officially launch on September 23. The vehicle has already entered the pre-sale phase, offering three configurations with a pre-sale price range of RMB 319,800 to RMB 389,800. Positioned as a mid-to-large all-electric sedan, the Denza Z9S measures 5,090 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm. It offers two drivetrain options: a rear-wheel-drive single-motor variant with a peak power output of 370 kW, and a tri-motor all-wheel-drive version delivering a combined output of 890 kW (approximately 1,210 horsepower), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.68 seconds. All variants are equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery with a capacity of 102.326 kWh, supporting ultra-fast charging. Under CLTC conditions, the vehicle offers three range options: 780 km, 920 km, and 1,100 km. In terms of chassis and handling, the Z9S comes standard across all trims with Yi San Fang rear-wheel steering technology, enabling ±5-degree independent rear-wheel steering. It features Crab Walk mode, Compass Turn, and Drift Master 2.0 driving functions. The top-tier tri-motor variant achieves a minimum turning radius of 4.75 meters and is paired with the Yun Nian-A intelligent air suspension system. The body structure employs a steel-aluminum hybrid design, with high-strength steel and aluminum alloy accounting for 91.1% of the total. The vehicle adopts a "10-cross, 11-longitudinal" frame layout, integrated with CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery-body integration technology and a hot-stamped steel cage structure, resulting in a torsional rigidity of 45,036 N·m/deg. Exterior design features a split headlight layout: dual-strip LED daytime running lights sit above, while vertical main headlights are positioned below. The front bumper sports a full-width design with a dual-section front lip. At the rear, an active electric spoiler is included. The windows are darkened, and four wheel designs—19-inch and 20-inch—are offered. Door sills feature illuminated welcome lighting. Seven exterior color options are available: Dawn Purple, Fjord Green, Soft Sand Gray, Starry Black, Frost Jade Silver, Midnight Blue, and Turquoise Green. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit is standard across all variants. Inside the cabin, three interior color schemes are offered: Misty Purple, Frost Porcelain White, and Crimson Red. The dashboard features a harbor-inspired design, and door panels incorporate floating cloud-shaped armrests. The passenger-side panel includes magnetic functionality. A 7-inch control screen is embedded in the rear center armrest, allowing adjustment of climate settings, sunshades, music, seats, and ambient lighting. The vehicle provides 44 storage compartments in total, a trunk capacity of 470 liters (expandable), and a front trunk (frunk) volume of 120 liters. For intelligent driving, the Denza Z9S is equipped with the "Eyes of God B" LiDAR-assisted driving system, powered by the Eyes of God 5.0 large AI model, enabling urban navigation assistance, highway pilot assist, and full-scenario automated parking capabilities.
