GAC Group Announces 30,835 Self-Operated Charging Piles

On September 17, GAC Group announced that the number of self-operated charging piles under its GAC Energy subsidiary has reached 30,835. Among them, 21,324 are DC ultra-fast charging piles supporting a 1,000V high-voltage platform and delivering over 180kW per gun. GAC has now established a "9-vertical, 10-horizontal" energy replenishment network covering all 31 provincial-level administrative regions and 232 prefecture-level cities nationwide. It operates 2,471 self-owned charging stations, strategically located in commercial districts, residential communities, highway networks, and county-township areas. Additionally, GAC collaborates with over 180,000 third-party charging stations, amounting to 1.83 million cooperative charging piles. Technologically, GAC’s ultra-fast chargers now support a maximum power output of 960kW, with single-gun peak charging power reaching up to 800kW. Its intelligent cloud management platform integrates an AI system, achieving a device online rate of 99.2%. Both AC and DC charging piles have obtained CCC certification. In terms of user benefits, Hyper (HaoBo) offers free charging at 2,644 designated stations with 28,029 eligible charging piles, spanning 333 cities. Interoperability has been achieved between GAC’s self-operated stations and those of external brand partners. Regarding energy ecosystem development, GAC’s V2G microgrid demonstration project—capable of discharging at 3.72MW—has entered routine operation, delivering an average of approximately 12,000 kWh per day and exceeding 20,000 kWh on peak days. GAC is also advancing R&D on megawatt-level ultra-fast charging technology.
